About

Dr. Danilo F. Marcelo Jr., DBA

Dan Marcelo is an economist, professor, author, and real estate and stock market investor with extensive academic and financial-markets experience.

He has taught economics and business for more than a decade and has written books on microeconomics, macroeconomics, labor economics, real estate economics, and applied economics. His work turns complex economic ideas into clear, practical insights that help readers decide better in business, finance, and everyday life.

Before academia, he built a banking career of more than a decade at one of the largest banks in the Philippines. He has practiced real estate since 2005 and has been active in the stock market since 2010. That dual perspective, scholarly and practical, shapes how he writes about finance and investing.

He is the creator of the Don't Series, books on the economic mistakes people commonly make in finance, investing, and decision-making.

Making economics accessible, intellectually honest, and useful for readers around the world.
